It is here on jalopnik sir, we prefer diesel wagons and cars that make the general public question your sexuality. Not historic icons in motoring history, thats for people who look at their cousins and say "hmmm.... you're awfully attractive"

I'm a proud 'merican, but growing up around rednecks has made me jaded.

Even in my small hometown, there are a dozen mustangs driving around like assholes …. and they all seem to have these stickers.

As a Canadian repeat Mustang owner and driver, I just have to say that I'm sorry but you're wrong. The car has zero associations, it's just an object - these impressions come entirely from you.

I'll never understand the divide between Pro and Anti Mustang folk. I love the damn things, but I'm pretty freaking realistic about them and I don't love 'em at the exclusion of all, or anything, else.

But to the original point; I too hope that S197's will drop in price drastically following the actual release of the S550 - even though this will hurt my resale value. It won't, mind you, at any rate exceeding their natural depreciation. In five years, a 2010 will be as cheap as you'd expect a 2010 to be given the established rates of depreciation in Mustangs. I think.

Well you are clearly a mustang biased fan and I did further up say "and I do respect the 5.0." …. BUT, even with all that mind I can't ignore the truth ….it still only took 30 seconds on google to find this.

& last summer there was a epidemic of Mustangs crashing and ruining car meets in the Detroit area.

(P.S. - I have three friends with 2010 or newer stangs and they are for the most part good people. Hell one one of them even upgraded form a 5.0 to a gt500, actually here is a pic of it stuck from the last time we went drifting.

Sorry man, but if you removed all the badging and covered the taillights a lot of people would be hard pressed to identify it as a Mustang. Not to say that I don't like it though because I do.
